Qantas buys remainder of TripADeal

After acquiring a majority stake in on-line travel business TripADeal in 2022, Australia's Qantas Airways says it will acquire the remaining 49 per cent for A$211 million to help it capitalise on holiday bookings demand.

The Qantas Group will combine Qantas's and Jetstar's network with the growing curated tour market and says it expects combined cost and revenue synergies of at least A$50 million annually across the group.

TripADeal will continue to operate as an independent business, serving customers outside the Qantas 'family'.
