Cathay in Asia Miles upgrade

Hong Kong-based Cathay Pacific is to combine its points-based bookings system Asia Miles with its other forms of payment "to celebrate with people who’ve been collecting Asia Miles for 25 years,” the carrier says.


It will mean travellers can book their tickets with cash, Asia Miles or a miles+cash combination on the same screen for the first time.

That’s not possible now because the ‘cash booking’ and ‘AsiaMiles booking’ systems are separate.

Combining them will take until "at least 2026", Cathay says.
