Edinburgh tram line opens

A decade later than planned, Edinburgh’s tram line has been finished.
From Wednesday May 7, the full 18.5km (11.5 mile) line opened, taking passengers to and from the old port of Newhaven on the river Forth, through Leith and Edinburgh city and on to the international airport.
