The USA's Centers for Disease Control (CDC) is asking airlines flying to and from Southern Africa to submit information about passengers from Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa and Zimbabwe in an attempt to slow the spread of the Omicron variant of Covid-19.
The requested data include the passenger's name, address, phone number, email address, date of birth and flight information.
