Effective 01 July, Australia’s Mackay Tourism will change its name to Mackay Isaac Tourism to reflect the partnership with both Isaac and Mackay Regional councils.

The US Department of Commerce is to invest US$750 million in travel and tourism, according to Gina Raimondo, the Department secretary, with states able to decide how the money is spent, including on convention centres, recreation facilities marketing.
Jordan to head Southwest

The USA's Southwest Airlines says Gary C. Kelly, its chief executive, will step down next year and be replaced on February 1 by Robert E. Jordan, executive vice president communication and outreach and human resources.
Both men have worked for Southwest since the 1980s.
