JetBlue-Spirit merger facing rough weather?

Bloomberg reports the USA's Justice Department and the Department of Transportation both are expected to file antitrust lawsuits to block the US$3.8 billion budget airline merger between JetBlue and Spirit Airlines on two grounds.
The first is that the DoJ believes the merger will result in lessened competition and therefore possibly more expensive airfares, while the Department of Transportation (DoT) will seek to block the transfer of Spirit's airline certificate to JetBlue, saying the merger will not be in the public interest.

IATA releases latest Safety Report
