EasyJet adds more routes

The UK's easyJet is launching four new routes from three UK airports, including to Luxor in Egypt.
Flights to Luxor will launch on 11 November from London Gatwick with twice- weekly departures on Mondays and Thursdays. 
Known for its ancient temples and tombs, Luxor is home to famous monuments such as the Luxor Temple, the Valley of the Kings and the tomb of Tutankhamun, one of Egypt's most famous pharaohs.

OECD says Covid recovery challenges continue

The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) has released its latest report on Tourism Trends and Policies 2024, which highlights the sector’s continued recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic, with international tourist arrivals in 2023 exceeding pre-pandemic levels in many OECD countries.  However, the pace of recovery has been uneven and the sector faces renewed challenges that may weigh on growth.

Australia can only support three domestic airlines - Hudson

The ceo of Australia's Qantas Airways, Vanessa Hudson, says the country doesn't have the population needed to support more than three domestic airlines. 
Hudson said the loss of budget airline Bonza after only a year is evidence - and the government needs to focus on the sustainability of the market.

More Ming culture coming in China

The Ming Culture Forum 2024 was recently held in the district of Changping in Beijing, China. 
With the theme of 'The Splendid Age of the Colorful Ming', it was composed of forums, one international academic seminar, cultural relics exhibitions and more than 30 cultural activities to be held throughout the year. More than 100 national treasures were unveiled at the opening ceremony.
