SriLankan Airlines of Sri lanka reduced its 2010 red ink result with an operating loss of LKR6,272 million in 2010, down 49 per cent from the previous year, according to the central bank.
USA carrier American Airways' parent AMR Corporation has reported a net loss of $436 million for the first quarter of 2011.
Air New Zealand says its March international passenger numbers fell eight per cent compared to March 2010, due in part to Asia demand dropping following the Christchurch and Japan earthquakes.
Singapore's Changi Airport has reported a 7.5 per cent year-on-year increase in March passenger traffic - at 3.71 million - and airfreight movements up 5.6 per cent to 166,100 tonnes.
