Australia's Melbourne and Sydney airports have reported a seven per cent and five per cent increase in their domestic passenger totals for August, with the figures reversed (up five and seven per cent respectively) for international passengers.

Singapore's Changi Airport handled some 4.28 million passengers in August 2012, an increase of 10.9 per cent on August a year ago. Air traffic movements grew by 6.5 per cent to 27,400 flights. However, airfreight was down 4.4 per cent, with 146,400 tonnes of cargo handled during the month.
