AirAsia X cargo revenues up 3pc

Malaysia's AirAsia X ceo Azran Osman-Rani says cargo carried now accounts for more than five per cent of revenues at the long-haul, low-cost carrier, up from two per cent previously. Cargo load factors are above 50 per cent.

A new Airbus study on the future of flying in 2050 and beyond - Future by Airbus Smarter Skies - has found that if the Air Traffic Management (ATM) system and technology on board aircraft were optimised, flights in Europe and the US could on average be around 13 minutes shorter and flight times elsewhere in the world also would benefit.
