Airocean Group has announced that Janet Tan of A-Sonic Aerospace Limited has been appointed the executive director and chairman of Airocean.
In a prepared statement Airocean said the seven - member board of Airocean now comprised: Ms Tan; Dr Wang Kai Yuen; Tay Swee Sze; Desmond Ong; Thomas Tay; Johnson Chong and Irene Tay.

KUALA LUMPUR TO HOST WOLRLD’S BIGGEST AIR CARGO EVENT

Kuala Lumpur will host The International Air Cargo Association (TIACA) biennial air cargo conference and exposition in 2008 in conjunction with MASkargo, the air cargo division of Malaysia Airlines. TIACA’s Air Cargo Forum and Exposition brings more worldwide air cargo leaders and exhibitors together than any other single industry event. It has been the industry’s networking event of choice since the first ever ACF took place 46 years ago.

Emirates Airline will start flying to Addis Ababa with three A330-200 flights a week from 27 March with plans to increase to daily operations from 01 December. Each flight offers up to 17 tonnes in belly-hold cargo space.

AIR CANADA TO OPERATE DAILY TORONTO FLIGHTS FROM SYDNEY

Improved market opportunities made possible by an expanded open-skies agreement between Canada and the United States will see Air Canada start daily flights from Sydney to Toronto via Los Angeles in 2007.
