Singapore Airlines Cargo has launched a non-stop freighter service from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport in the US to and from Viracopos, Brazil. The service started with one flight per week, but becomes twice weekly in September.

The carrier plans to purchase Airbus A380 or Boeing 747-8 aircraft as part of plans to grow its fleet to 300 aircraft by 2023.

Air Partner has launched a multi-lingual freight app that matches air carriers to the type of cargo.
It uses the weight and dimensions of each consignment to choose the most appropriate aircraft for the task and also includes images and cargo hold diagrams. It is available from the Apple store.
