IAG buys BMI

Germany's Lufthansa has inked an 'in principle' deal with BA/Iberia parent IAG covering the sale of Lufthansa's UK-based BMI unit. The price was not disclosed, but the deal is expected to give IAG (and BA) another 8.5 per cent of the total slots at the UK's London Heathrow Airport.
