Carlisle upgrade given green light

Owner Stobart Air’s multi-million pound plan for the redevelopment of the UK’s Carlisle Airport have been given the go-ahead. The runway, which dates back to the 1940s, will be refurbished and there will be improvements to airport buildings and freight facilities.

MCH Holding has welcomed confirmation that Delta Air Lines will begin a daily nonstop service between Sydney and Los Angeles International Airport from 03 July, 2009. The airline will operate B777-200LR aircraft offering up to 18 tonnes cargo capacity, however due to the length of the flight, cargo space is often weight-restricted, especially on the inbound flights.
