Lufthansa launches air-sea Aust service

Germany’s Lufthansa Cargo will launch an air-sea service from Europe to a number of destinations in Australia via Shenzhen and Hong Kong, China from January 1. Carriage will be under a single air waybill number, with the cargo coming into Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane from Asia by sea.

Singapore Airlines says that from 15 March 2009, it will increase flights to Dubai, UAE, from three times a week to daily as part of plans that also will see the Singaporean carrier extend its network through Abu Dhabi by offering flights to Kuwait City four times a week - on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.

SIA add Kuwait flights

Singapore Airlines (SIA) will begin a four-times-weekly service to Kuwait from 15 March 2009. Flying via Abu Dhabi, the service will operate on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, using B777-200 aircraft.
