The Association of Asia Pacific Airlines (AAPA) member airlines carried a total of 11.9 million international passengers in March 2007, an increase of 4.2 per cent over the corresponding period last year. International passenger traffic in RPK terms grew by 3.8 per cent year-on-year, while the passenger load factor improved by 3.3 percentage points to 77.3 per cent on a slight capacity reduction of 0.5 per cent. International freight traffic declined by 3.8 per cent in Freight Tonne Kilometre (FTK) terms. The cargo load factor fell 3.5 points to 66.0per cent, with capacity up by 1.3 per cent compared to the same month last year.
