Imperial opens new German facility

Imperial has opened a multi-user logistics facility in Gelsenkirchen, Germany, eight kilometres from its existing business site in Herten. Gelsenkirchen’s opening supports an organic growth strategy introduced in 2019.
The launch customer for the new facility will be a long-standing Imperial client, Lemken, which is an international manufacturer of agricultural machinery. Imperial will transfer Lemken’s current spare part logistics operations from Herten to Gelsenkirchen.
Volga-Dnepr Airlines has organised delivery of commercial communications satellite Inmarsat-6 F1, also known as I-6 F1, from Toulouse (France) to Kitakyushu (Japan).
The challenging delivery was completed in close cooperation with Bollore Logistics Space desk located in Toulouse, France, with both teams starting initial project discussions back in 2019 and operations planning in September 2021.
