DHL still talking to ABX

After months of airfreight media headlines about Deutsche Post subsidiary DHL’s exit from the US express market and as a result, up to 8,000 job losses at its current partners ABX Air and ASTAR Air cargo at Wilmington, Ohio, DHL now has indicated at least some short-term light for one or both companies.

Chinese authorities have pulled the plug on private carrier East Star Airlines after it ran up unspecified debts with General Electric's aviation leasing subsidiary. The country's private airlines don’t have access to government bailouts to help counter the current business downturn.
