Korean Air has reported its 2007 results for the three months ended December 31, 2007. Operating revenue increased by 8.9 per cent to 2,302 billion Korean won as compared to 2,115 billion for the three months ended 31 December, 2006.

Just days after the Indian government okayed foreign carrier investment in Indian cargo operators, Lufthansa has confirmed negotiations with Jet Airways and Bangalore-based cargo airline QuikJet for a strategic cargo alliance. German rail operator Deutsche Bahn has confirmed a plan for express container trains to snatch 20 per cent of Chinese air freight volumes (at today's levels). As detailed (Aircargo Asia-Pacific web, Tuesday 29 January), DB recently ran a test train from Beijing to Hamburg that took just 15 days to arrive.
