Australian Customs has compiled guidelines to define the reporting requirements for trans-shipment cargo through Australia. The document provides procedural guidelines for the handling and reporting of trans-shipment cargo when changes are made to the character of the cargo, or it moves from the place of discharge, or it is incorrectly reported. It addresses the different types of circumstances where cargo may be trans-shipped.
Delta Air lines has taken delivery of its first B777-200LR (Long Range) aircraft; a second is due for delivery later this month. They were selected partly for their cargo-carrying capacity and will be used on the airline’s longest run, New York, USA-Mumbai, India.

Korean Air Cargo has changed the day of operation for its weekly B747-400 freighter into Sydney and Melbourne. Effective 02 March the freighter that previously operated on Monday (1) will operate inbound on Sunday (7) and depart for Seoul same day. Gary Jones, Sydney-based manager freight said the move had been made to better fit scheduling and provide an improved service for forwarders and shippers.
