Air France-KLM has made a non-binding offer for beleaguered Italian carrier Alitalia, which is losing about 1 million euros (AU$1.66 million) a day.
Buyers have been thin on the ground since the Italian government put its 49.9 per cent stake up for sale. Among other parties that had previously expressed an interest in Alitalia, only Italian low-cost carrier Air One is now expected to make a non-binding offer.
