Middle east stops boost Star profile
Star Cruises has been selling the delights of cruising to Middle East markets. The SuperStar Libra made two port calls in Dubai and Bahrain last week enroute to the Eastern Mediterranean to complete its inaugural summer schedule.

The calls were part of SuperStar Libra’s relocation cruise from Mumbai, India to Valletta, Malta where she will be home-ported this summer offering cruises to destinations in Italy, Greece, Croatia, Turkey and Egypt.

“Star Cruises has been actively promoting cruises in the Middle Eastern markets and will continue to do so in the region which is ideally situated between Europe and Asia”, said Chong Chee-Tut, Star Cruises chief operating officer. “The showcases provide the travel industry in the region an opportunity to view the facilities and accommodation that a ship like SuperStar Libra has to offer its guests”

The ship’s season in the Eastern Mediterranean now offers passengers from the Middle East the added option to cruise either in Europe or Asia. Chong added, “Passengers on SuperStar Libra will also have the flexibility of joining the ship in Rome, Venice, Valletta or Istanbul via a choice of fly-cruise options from the Middle East”.
